Private shore excursion in Italy Sicily from Messina.

We are pleased to pick you up from Messina’s port and drive in the direction of Taormina. First we will drive you to Mount Etna and visit several authentic Sicilian towns:
Santa Venerina;
Zafferana – for honey tasting;
Milo.

During the ascent many different kinds of vegetation can be noted. We will arrive at Rifuggio Sapienza Peak (elevation 2,000m) where it is possible to enjoy a visit of the both of the old extinct Silvestri craters and newer craters as well. You can feel the hot lava flows and the desert moon atmosphere. We will then drive back through a pine tree forest, where we can see more lava flows, and we end with a visit of the beach town of Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily.
We then take you to Taormina; a gorgeous town with a romantic atmosphere and plenty of excellent restaurants, bars, shopping and plazas to relax and enjoy a cappuccino. You can visit one of the best Greek Roman theaters in Sicily and several antique “Palazzi”.
We will leave Taormina to drive you back and catch your ship following the agreed upon schedule and time.
